1996-1997
A companion piece to the Artist's Studio. A much more complex version of the idea of self-reference, with several images of the total sculpture, all at a reducing scale, appearing within it. It is also a clear example of my way of working, with many component parts made separately of diverse material finally assembled in the finished sculpture - a process of accretion. This studio reflects much of the character of the studio I had in Italy where I lived prior to 1993.
